North East Joint Domestic Trade Fair Opens This Week

Sources from all relevant stakeholders are giving the assurance that everything is completely set for the 15th North East joint Domestic Trade Fair to start in Bauchi, from 25th April-7th May, 2024. The two-week long event holds at the Trade Fair Complex, IBB Square, Ajiya Adamu Road, Bauchi.

The trade Fair, with the theme: “Entrepreneurship Development as Remedy for Youth Restiveness”, is being organized jointly by the North East Council of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NECCCIMA) and supported by the Governors of the Six (6) Eastern States of the political zone.

The Bauchi State Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture, under the leadership of its President, Hon. Alh. Aminu Mohammed (Danmalikin Bauchi), in collaboration with Bauchi state government, the hosting state, have for months been busy coordinating preparation, organizing a befitting venue, processing bookings, handling enquiries, as well as handling participation matters from participants expected from sections of Business Organizations in Nigeria, Foreign Business Firms, Federal and State-owned Companies, Government Agencies and Parastatals, Research and Educational Institutions, Local Government and Entrepreneurs, and host of other private companies, small business holdings and financial interests.

Participants are expected, in line with the vision and objectives of the Tarde Fair, to exhibit their products, display interesting packages and demonstrate services and all other business charecteristics that are for the general interest of consumers, publics and business  partners.

The jointly organizing states of Adamawa, Bauchi, Borno, Gombe, Taraba and Yobe, have through their Executive Governors vowed to ensure a successful hosting of the 15th edition of an important North East Trade Fair, that will galvanize the zone into more action to promote peace, business development, economic prosperity and diverse entrepreneurship initiatives for youth engagements in gainful ventures. Achieving the aims and objectives of the Trade Fair, according the Executive Governors, will no doubt boost commerce and general economic activities in the North East region, which in the long run will downplay the negative impact of insurgent activities on the sub-region’s economy.

While it is important to note that the North East Governors’ Forum is much concerned about the success of the Trade Fair by making all commitments and providing financial assistance, the Bauchi state government on its part is taking all steps in making sure that the Trade Fair Complex, IBB Square, Bauchi is indeed an ideal venue, with requisite facilities, convenience and space accommodation for all trade fair activitries.

The 15th North East Tarde Fair opens for public participation on April 25th, while the official opening ceremony of the event is scheduled for early May, 2024 and will last till May 20th, 2024 when it finally closes.

All eyes and focus are now on BACCIMA and Bauchi state government in observing how the handle managing the activities and smooth coordination of the much-awaited and publicized 15th North East Trade Fair 2024, holding in Bauchi state.
