Bauchi State Agency Renovates Orphanage Homes, Empowers Widows

The Bauchi State Orphans and Vulnerable Children Agency (BASOVCA) has renovated orphanage home, improving the lives of 17 orphans who recently lost their father and were facing economic hardship and poor living conditions.

Led by Chairperson Hajiya Yalwa Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa and her entourage, the agency fulfilled the First Lady’s promise to support the needy.

The visit included donations of N80,000 to each widow to start their own businesses.

The Director of BASOVCA, Alh Shehu Yakubu, praised the Chairperson’s efforts in uplifting the status of orphans in Bauchi state.

Malam Sani Muhammad, a community leader, expressed gratitude and acknowledged the agency’s success in achieving its objectives.

This intervention demonstrates the state government’s commitment to supporting vulnerable populations, providing a better life for these orphans and empowering their widowed mothers.
