Bauchi Govt to stop hoarding

The Executive Chairman Bauchi State Public Complaints and Anti Corruption Commission Retired Deputy Inspector General, DIG Sani Usman Mohammed has cautioned major dealers and marketers of essential commodities against hoarding and hiking the prices of goods.

Retired DIG Sani Mohammed who sounded the warning during a meeting with the leadership of the dealers and marketers said the commission will not hesitate to sanction anyone found selling commodities at exorbitant prices.

He explained that government will not condone acts selfishness and greed among marketers who are bent in causing artificial hardship in the state.

The Retired DIG who described the people that engage in such acts as selfish minded, expressed readiness to curtail the unacceptable act.

In his remark, the Chairman Bauchi State Amalgamated Traders and Artisans Association Alhaji Abdallah Caps pledged continued support to the commission towards the achieving the desired objectives and called on his members to avoid hoarding of food items and unnecessary hike in price of the commodities in order to avoid wrath of the laws.
