1st Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation Qur’anic Competition

The Shehu Dahiru Usman Bauchi Foundation (MSDB), has successfully conducted its 1st Qur’anic Recitation Competition in Bauchi, in collaboration with the Wunti Alkhair Foundation, a private charity organization involved in Islamic and other humanitarian services and activities.
The week-long competition which drew participants from selected Qur’anic Schools under the Foundation from 6 states out of the over 160 branches across the country, comprised of competitors in 4 categories of 20 hizbs, 30 hizbs, 40 hizbs and 60 hizbs in both males and females categories.
The Event Centre, venue of the competition on Murtala Muhammad Way, Bauchi witnessed attendants students, Qur’anic scholars and people from across various walks of life within and outside the state to join the participants at the historic launching of the promised annual event by the Shehu Dahiru Usman Foundation.
As the competition came to an end on Tuesday, this week, Thursday, 7th March, 2024 is scheduled for the closing ceremony where prizes will be awarded to winners in the competition at the Conference Hall of the new Shehu Dahiru Usman Bauchi Juma’at Mosque slated for official commissioning of Friday, 8th March 2024.

Dignitaries are expected at the commisining ceremony, including World Tijjaniya Caliph, Sheikh Muhammad Mahiy Inyas, the Sultan of Sokoto, Alh. (Dr.) Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar CFR mni, His Excellency, Executive Governor, Bauchi state, Se. Bala Abdulkadir Muhammad CON (Kauran Bauchi), and high ranking Emirs from across the emirates in Nigeria.
